Osnosh and Shrewsbury Food Hub have come together to run a monthly community meal.
The meal is cooked by volunteers with food which would have otherwise have gone to waste. Food is collected from local supermarkets by Shrewsbury Food Hub volunteers and then Osnosh chefs and volunteers prepare a two course meal.
Everyone is welcome, including those who are hungry, struggling or just wanting some company. Osnosh explain "We believe that a simple sit down meal where all are welcome and all are treated equally helps foster a deep sense of community. We all love to eat and talk about good meal, whoever you are."
Doors open at 12 with lunch being served at 12.30.
The next meal will be at the United Reformed Church in Shrewsbury this September 28th
Diners are invited to pay-as-you-feel for their lunch, but there is no expectation that everyone needs to pay.
There will also be a foodshare table where any unused produce will be available to take away for a donation.
For dates of future events, please see Shrewsbury Food Hub or Osnosh.
